About the Event

Join Stars, Stripes, & Hearts on October 15, 2012 for an unforgettable evening of salsa music to acknowledge and support our proud Latino and Hispanic military heroes and veterans during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Stars, Stripes & Salsa!, a first-of-its-kind concert event features Tito Puente, Jr., son of Latin music icon, Tito Puente, who will fire up the night before Salsa superstar Gilberto Santa Rosa shakes the seats of the famed Warner Theatre in Washington DC. Jim Byers and Nancy Alonso of WPFW 89.3FM will be your hosts for this special evening which will also include a moving tribute to special guest Rodolfo Hernandez, a Korean War veteran and one of the more than 40 Hispanic recipients of the Medal of Honor.

Stars, Stripes, & Hearts/Bandera y Corazones is a national nonprofit that raises funds through benefit concerts to support culturally competent , evidence-based mental health programs for Latino and Hispanic veterans and their families.
